12 Days in Mummy's Arms
A tiny cub note, with opinions
I am only twelve days old, but I already know your arms are home and everyone else is just trying their best.
Dear Mummy,
I arrived just 12 short days ago with absolutely no respect for your schedule. Bold of me, really.
But from the first sunrise cuddle I knew I belonged with you, and that you were somehow going to make this whole enormous world feel gentle.
You are my warm den, my calm place, and the woman running this kingdom on crumbs of sleep, endless love, and frankly impressive patience.
Love always,
Tiny cub. Enormous management style.
The day our pride began
Day 1 and I had already decided you were my favourite human. Efficient of me.
I did not know much yet. Breathing, stretching, and issuing dramatic little noises were my main talents.
But I knew your voice. I knew your heartbeat. I knew that whenever you held me, the whole savanna stopped feeling so alarmingly large.
This was the first page of us, and honestly it set the bar embarrassingly high for the rest of the world.
12 days across our little Pride Lands
12 tiny days, one very first Mother's Day, and quite a lot of evidence that you are magic under pressure.
Tap any keepsake. I chose excellent material.
What Mummy very obviously deserves
Soft plans. No pressure. Less admin. More being adored.
So I made this chapter feel like your cuddle style: soft, beautiful, reassuring, and somehow elegant under extreme baby-related circumstances.
A Little Poem for My Mummy
From Addison, written between naps, cuddles, and a little unnecessary drama.
Before I learned the morning light,
I learned your arms and held on tight.
Before I knew what words could do,
I knew the sound and heart of you.
You are my calm when I go grand,
and wave my tiny bossy hand.
You hold me close, you make things right,
and turn my worry into light.
So on this first Mother's Day, I say,
in my small but somewhat opinionated way:
thank you, Mummy, for every part,
and for loving me with all your heart.
Love always, your little cub Addison
One last sunrise before the grand reveal
Dear Mummy, I had one more idea for your very first Mother's Day. As if this cub was going to end quietly.
So I called in a favour from a very special friend from the Pride Lands. He does atmosphere. I handle direction.
Stay here one tiny moment. He is padding in with the final page for you.
A sealed little favour from Addison
Tap the envelope when you're ready. My helper delivered it safely. Miracles do happen.
This one waits for you. Tap the envelope when you want the grand reveal.
Happy First Mother's Day, my lionhearted Mummy
A little film from Addison, delivered with help from a very special friend and my completely reasonable creative demands.
My Pride Lands favour arrived right on cue, because naturally I requested premium service.
Replay this whenever you like. I plan to remain adorable for future editions.
